Muzzamil is a Somali researcher with extensive experience in livelihoods and food security, peace and conflict transformation, and the justice and security sector in the Horn of Africa. He has worked on these issues in Somalia since 2013. He has worked with various International NGOs including Saferworld, Life & Peace Institute, Solidarites International, as well as the International NGO Safety Organization (INSO) as a senior analyst in Somalia. As a Fellow at the Salzburg Global Seminar and the Nippon Foundation, he provides technical support to conflict transformation and peacebuilding research work in Somalia, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka. Muzzamil has a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from Islamic University in Uganda
