Contenu des pages

In advance of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, taking place in Geneva 02–06 June 2025, SPARC researchers have prepared three draft discussion documents, which draw on six years of research through the Supporting Pastoralism and Agriculture in Recurrent and Protracted Crises (SPARC) Programme.

These drafts are for discussion only and are not for publication or dissemination

They present our emerging thinking as we draw lessons from a huge number of research studies. They are written to invite feedback and comments, to help us to refine and develop the contribution that SPARC can make to these ongoing debates.

The papers are:

  • How to create person-centred, multi-hazard early warning systems in conflicts and recurrent crises.
  • 10+1 ways to take anticipatory action to scale in conflicts and recurring crises
  • We don’t need 10 ideas to reduce disaster risk in conflicts and recurring crises

For further information or to contact the authors about this draft or topic, please email Emma Gogerty ([email protected]) and Simon Levine ([email protected]).
