SPARC is awarded A+ rating by the UK Government

SPARC's dedication to generate and deliver timely research is officially recognised in the programme's recent annual review.

The SPARC programme has been awarded an A+ rating by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) in the consortium’s recent annual review.

An A+ rating is granted to projects that are considered exceptionally good in terms of performance and exceed their targets for delivery.

This rating is a real testament to the dedication of the many people working in and with SPARC to generate and deliver timely research to the UK Government and other key donors, decision makers and implementing partners on effective development assistance in the context of various ongoing crises. These crises range from the unfolding famine in parts of East Africa, to the numerous conflicts in parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, and a worsening climate emergency, all of which underscore the need for SPARC to continue its work.

Many thanks to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office Research and Evidence Division and Canada’s International Development Research Centre for a tremendous partnership.
