Elvira is a Senior Economic and Risk Analyst with Overseas Development Institute, with interests in industrial development, innovation, sustainability, trade and investments.

Elvira Mami is an economist with extensive experience in economic advisory, having previously worked in senior positions in a sovereign wealth fund for seven years. She also has experience of working in the World Bank, Kazakhstan’s World Trade Organisation accession team, academia and private sector.

Elvira holds a BSc in Economics (LSE) and MSc in Development Management (LSE), and she is currently studying part-time for PhD in Management. Elvira is fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English, and she has conversational Spanish.
