BaySeddo

Bay Seddo is an innovative Senegalese SMSE operating in the horticultural sector. It buys produce from contractual farmers through first-level collectors and sells to retail and wholesale distributors of horticultural produce. The company has been instrumental in setting up multiservice hubs in high horticultural production areas of the country by playing the role of the main intermediary between smallholder farmers and input and service providers. This allowed small farmers to sell produce easily and to have access to finance, input supply, extension services, and health insurance. Bayseddo delivers quality, fresh products to an informal retail market for selected horticultural products to women retailers generally called tabletop women.
