Adcast is a multi-stakeholder platform that delivers agricultural advisory information using ICT tools to farmers and pastoralists in the Uganda cattle corridor to enhance their resilience to climate change. Since 2012, the International Development Research Centre funded project entitled climate change adaptation and ICT, CHAI, has been delivering climate based information through a 10-day weather forecast coupled with relevant advisory on water security, markets and nutrition to over 100,000 households.

Green Tag Africa Ltd came on board with the mobile application Adcast to close the delivery gaps and ensure sustainability. The application allows sharing of weather forecast information from Uganda National Meteorological Authority as well as related advisories from public and private sector experts. It also enables farmers or end users to interact on a forum through sharing texts, pictures and videos for peer-to-peer exchange and feedback to advisors.
