Catherine Wong is a policy specialist on climate and security risk and the technical lead on climate and security within United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Global Policy Network. She serves as the UNDP focal point on the Climate Security Mechanism and on the UN Water core group, Leveraging Water for Peace.

Catherine has more than 15 years' experience on climate change and environmental sustainability at headquarters and in the field. She was recognised as one of 25 Young Security Leaders by the Government of Germany, the Körber-Stiftung and the Munich Security Conference (2021/22) and is an observer of the International Military Council for Climate Security.
