Nyambura is a media and communications practitioner supporting the SPARC Innovation Research Facility (IRF) in the capacity of Storytelling Advisor.

Her professional experience spans over two decades and her interest in communication for behaviour change places her at the nexus of media, culture and policy. She has a background as a journalist and editor in the mainstream media, independent consultancy in communication strategy, content strategy and development and digital media, and engagement in market systems development in the agricultural sector. Nyambura’s focus is on the power of storytelling to shape policy, foster inclusion, build resilience and impact lives and livelihoods.

Her engagement in the SPARC IRF includes exploring ways to document different types of knowledge and bring research on innovation in the drylands in East and West Africa into domains in which it can be used to achieve scale and impact for projects strengthening livelihoods and resilience in pastoralist and agropastoralist communities in Africa.
